Delicious grilled chicken and some of the best piri piri sauce in town! If you like Portuguese food than don't miss out on this place. The only downside could be that it's a clean open kitchen, but your clothes are definitely gonna smell like BBQ.

First time we went here and it was a really good choice. The chicken is crsipy and tasty, the piri piri is from another world, so good. Alsonthe coffee cake is going to be my favorite desert in davao. If you didnt eat yet here, put it on your list, to bad you can give only 5 stars.

Really good. We got the piri-piri platter, tomato & greens salad, salmon croquettes, and dessert. Everything was a hit. Went on a weekday night, there was no wait.

Came here from New York and was blown away by the food! We had the signature grilled chicken, the polvo (octopus) with focaccia, and the sardines with olive oil and tomatoes — everything was super fresh and full of flavor. This kind of cuisine is such a great addition to Davao’s ever-evolving food scene. Definitely recommend checking it out. It’s going to be a staple stop for me and my family every time we’re in town!

Bairrada Churrasqueira was a pleasant surprise. I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy the food and atmosphere as much as I did. The place itself feels very cozy and welcoming, with a warm, Portuguese-inspired decor. I really appreciated the open kitchen, where you can see your food being prepared over the wood charcoal grill. What's great is that their ventilation is clearly effective, so you get to enjoy the view without any smoke. It definitely adds to the overall experience. For my first visit, I ordered their signature wood charcoal-grilled piri-piri chicken. There weren't any pictures of the portion sizes, so I was quite surprised by how generous the serving was. As for the food, I genuinely enjoyed it. The chicken was well-seasoned and tender, and even at a mild spice level, it had a nice hint of warmth without being too hot for me. The side dishes complemented it perfectly. The smashed grilled potatoes were satisfying, and the tangy tomatoes added a fresh contrast to each bite of chicken and rice. To finish, I had the bolo de bolacha, an espresso-doused biscuit cake. Its balanced profile was the ideal complement to the savory piri-piri chicken, providing a satisfying and not-too-heavy conclusion to a truly enjoyable meal. I'll definitely be back to try their other dishes next time. This is absolutely a place I would recommend.

Bairrada Churrasqueira is tucked inside The Compound, occupying the space that used to be a pharmacy. While the space is a bit compact, the ambiance is inviting and casual. Their menu is short and straightforward. It's perfect for those who don’t want to overthink their order. The star of the show is definitely their piri-piri chicken. It was flavorful, juicy, and had a great balance of spice and char. The chimichurri on the side was an herby complement that elevated the dish even more. The limited menu seems to reflect their confidence in what they do best, and it pays off. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, making it an accessible option for casual dining. On top of that, the staff were warm and attentive throughout our visit. To cap off our dinner, we also had the bolo de bolacha, which was light yet flavorful. It was a satisfying way to end the meal. Just a heads-up: since they have an open kitchen, you might walk out smelling a bit like smoke. They do have ventilation, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re heading somewhere afterward. Bairrada shares the same owner as Pilgrim, so you can expect the same level of culinary quality and thoughtful execution in their dishes. It’s a spot that deserves more attention.

After a long wait, here it is! Something new. The first time I tried peri-peri chicken goes back over a decade at Nando’s in Melbourne. And now the similar concept of spicy, flame-grilled chicken marinated in a chili-based sauce is now in Davao City. (There’s one peri-peri chicken place at SM Davao Annex pre-pandemic that closed.)…Compact space. Short menu. Delicious food. We finished all three dishes. Dining in with slow to warm air-conditioning was our only complaint even though the units were facing down directly at us. I was eyeing the two huge electric fans sitting on a ledge that remained still. Overall experience was good. Eager to try other dishes on our next visit.
